Bear Hollow is located off of the East Parkway (Hwy 321) less than one mile from downtown Gatlinburg. It's three bedrooms and open concept kitchen, dining, and living area is perfect for family gatherings.

 

LIVING ROOM

The living room features a wood burning fireplace, flat screen television, Blu-Ray DVD player, cable and free WIFI. The large sectional sofa has a queen sleeper sofa within.

 

KITCHEN

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, dishes, cups and silverware. There is a stove, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and blender. The adjoining laundry room has a full size washer and dryer.

 

OUTDOOR AREA

The deck has a 7-person hot tub and an outdoor seating area that can accommodate 12 at the table with additional seating for lounging and enjoying the views of the mountains. There is a park-style charcoal grill for your outdoor cooking enjoyment.

 

BEDROOM 1

Bedroom 1 is outfitted with a king sized bed, dresser, TV with cable and Blu-Ray DVD player. There is also a double closet. The attached bathroom offers a single vanity and walk-in shower.

 

BEDROOM 2

Bedroom 2 has a queen sized bed, dresser, TV with cable and Blu-Ray DVD player. There is a generously sized closet.

 

BEDROOMS 3

Bedroom 3 features two sets of twin bunk beds, two dressers, and a closet.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

1) 60 or more days prior to check in date: $50 Cancellation Fee.

2) 59 - 30 days prior to check in date: 25% Forfeiture.

3) 29 - 15 days prior to check in: 50% Forfeiture.

4) 14 days or less: Full Forfeiture.

 

- All changes and cancellations must be received in writing (email will be considered in writing as long as we acknowledge receipt of the email). If proper notice is not given as specified, the deposit will be forfeited.

 

REFUNDS: No refunds will be given due to weather, road conditions, acts of God, mechanical failures at Bear Hollow, power outages, or early departures.

Lynn was an amazing host. my husband asked a lot of questions before we arrived and she answered them all. The recommendation for breakfast had my daughter's wanting pancakes to take home with us. Lynn was available during our stay for any additional questions that arose. The house was clean, neat, beautifully decorated, and just had that home away from home feeling. The hot tub was the best way to wind down after our long days at a dance competition and exploring the town. We would definitely stay again at Bear Hollow or any place that Lynn owns.

we did not wanted a cabin since must of them are on steep hills, we were looking for something with easy access. This house was perfect in that sense. The location is incredible and the house itself easily and comfortably fit our group of 8 (4 kids so the bunk beds worked well). The house was spotless and updated throughout. Absolutely would stay here again and plan to! Two small things - the hot-tub fits 7-8 max so if you plan on more you will get to know each other really well. The wifi name and password listed in the book isn't accurate (or wasn't for our stay). I am sure Lynn will get you set with that if you reach out. The 5g signal was pretty strong so we didn't even need it. Overall, wonderful location and house and very responsive host! Five stars from me!

Finally got around to reviewing this property and I am more than happy to say it was a very positive experience. It was about a 5 minute ride from Gatlinburg. It was a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, we didn't hear anything loud noises during our stay. The rooms were all nice and cozy. Everything was clean and there was a binder with all the information we needed. Our only complaint is that the Wi-Fi wasn't working for us. Not sure if it was just a problem on our part or not. But regardless, we absolutely recommend this house to others.

We stayed at Meredith's house for three nights in the end of October. It was located in such a convenient location to the downtown. I walked to downtown from the house. The house, even though a little older, has been updated very nicely and decorated so well. It felt very homey. My husband and I slept in the master bedroom and the bed was super comfy. Any questions I had I texted Meredith and she answered right away. We had three adults and four children and it fit us perfectly. I would highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful and spacious home! The entire property was immaculately clean and the beds were so comfortable!! The hot tub was heavenly! We saw a mama bear nursing her four cubs right in the carport! We also saw a bobcat crossing the street as well as a big papa bear who came for a visit when we were grilling out! The place was in a great location. Jacuzzi was very relaxing with a scenic view of log homes and mountains. The place accommodated 8 of us without feeling crowded. It is only about a mile to get to the Food City so that was also convenient.

Bear Hollow was just awesome. It is right in town, but off the main road enough to feel secluded and away from the hustle, even though it is just a couple minutes from the downtown area. We got to see bears in the yard during our stay, and the house was awesome. Meredith was very quick to respond to questions, and was very kind and helpful. Overall just a fantastic experience, you will not regret staying here. We will definitely be looking to book Bear Hollow again for our next trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Hollow! The house was exactly as pictured and had plenty of room for our two families (four adults, five kids ages 2-15). Our littles enjoyed the bunk room and everyone loved the hot tub! The location is very convenient and provides easy access to driving downtown or out to the grocery and arts community. The living room couch is great and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Both bathrooms are renovated and so nice; showers only so keep that in mind if you require a bath tub. Meredith responded very promptly to any questions that we had. We saw several bears around the house this year so pay attention to the bear safety instructions provided. We have been coming to Gatlinburg for 35+ years as a family and staying at Bear Hollow was a wonderful addition to our memories!

This was my group's second time staying in Meredith's cabin (the first was March 2017), and once again it didn't disappoint. The location is scenic, quiet, and secluded. The cabin is gorgeous and invokes a relaxed mood. There are also lots of TVs and a hot tub for nighttime relaxation. Meredith was easy to reach via call and text, and she was very sweet. We will definitely be renting this cabin again in the future :)

Sometimes processes and routines don't go as they should and how you handle adversity tells a lot about your character. When the cleaning crew doesn't arrive on time, it backs up checkin time of weary travelers who've driven xx hours and don't have anywhere to just "sit and wait". When the door lock doesn't work and travelers are rushing out for a most anticipated banquet, a kind soul shows up with a key. The accommodations were as expected and plush, and the management proved fair and reactive. I'd go here again without a doubt!

Great location. It's a quiet spot. The house had an open living room/dining/kitchen. The space was great. We had two babies with us so we couldn't use the big fireplace, but it was all set up to use. Just wish it had some kind of safety grate around it. I got up around 4:30am because the spot light was coming on out back and got to see a beautiful, rare red wolf. It was amazing :)

The house is spacious and the layout great! We loved sitting on the porch and even had a bear visit (at a safe distance) the first evening, which was our favorite part of the whole weekend. Everything was clean and all the necessities were provided. Great location just off the parkway, but not on the end that tends to get overly crowded so we were able to easily move to the grocery store and other areas with ease. We stayed here for a group outing and we were very happy. The space "feels" a little bigger than it seemed in the pictures. All the adult rooms had TVs and other nice things (they even had a coffee grinder, to go with the coffee maker, which I thought was a nice touch.) Plenty of little things that made the stay great. This house was great for our family of 8. It was comfortable and every child had a bed in a room. It is in a great location, halfway between the downtown area and the arts and crafts area. The Gatlinburg area is recovering nicely from the fire. The houses around this house were burnt out, but the green is taking back control of the area so it did not feel repressive. This house is nestled in a lush green corner with a big yard, and for now there is a privacy afforded to this house because the neighboring houses were destroyed. We are so glad we stayed in the house and left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

We stayed for a long weekend to enjoy Gatlinburg. I was pleased with how close the house was to the fun of Gatlinburg but it was away from the traffic and congestion. Everything was comfortable, clean, and in working order. We enjoyed the hot tub to relax after a busy day. The kitchen was large and well stocked but we mostly ate at the great restaurants that are nearby. There was ample space for my family of 4 and my friends family of 3. The kids loved the bunk bed room! It was quiet and safe enough for the kids to play in the yard of the house. I will definitely recommend this property to my friends in the future!

The description of the house is accurate & the location is fantastic. There were a few hiccups along the way, however Meridith & her very sweet granddad were beyond fantastic to communicate with & solved the issue very quickly. Sadly this area did see some damage from the fire, however this home by the grace of God survived & is safe! We enjoyed our stay here & overall our group of 8 was very happy & pleased with our accomadations. We've been vacationing in the smokies for 11 years & this is the first time we've used an air bnb for our house, very glad we did.

A lovely spacious house close to the town of Gatlinburg (and walkable is you are OK with walking 25 minutes) but far enough away to be out of the weekend craziness. Easy access to the National Park too. We easily drove from there to Cades Cove, Clingman Dome and to the very nearby Greenbrier which was lovely with spring flowers. The pancake house at the bottom of the hill was also great! The house is very comfortable and is great for families with a room of bunk beds and the hot tub was a great addition. Well equipped with kitchen items, grill, a couple of games, TV etc. Just missing a few homely essentials to ease the shopping for groceries burden such as olive oil, some tea/coffee, sufficient dish washer tablets and clothes washing liquid etc. Not a spoiler of a great weekend - was just a frustration after staying in many Air BnBs where these things are usually available.

Our stay at Bear Hollow was a great experience! This was many of my travel mates' first times staying in an AirBnb-booked place, and they were blown away with the comfort of it compared to a hotel. We loved being able to cook our own meals and not have to eat fast-food constantly, the hot tub was amazing, and we loved even having a washer and dryer on site! We even got to do "hikes" by walking up the roads surrounding the cabin to get exercise and see the scenery. Whenever we had a question, I was able to text Meredith and get a response back quickly; she was super helpful! We will definitely be keeping Bear Hollow in mind for our next trip to Gatlinburg :)

Will definitely be the first place I check for availability if I ever make it back to Gatlinburg! Well kept, comfy beds, big dining table and open living, kitchen, and dining area.
